Most modern phones have long lost their 1/8" stereo headphone jack. If you need audio out, you need some sort of convertor. What I needed specifically is one that would provide RCA outputs so I can bring the signal into my mixer using RCA connectors. This isn't a passive cable - it includes electronics (very small) to talk to the phone and identify itself as an audio output, then handle the conversion of the signal as an audio signal. This cable does this perfectly and with no loss of audio clarity or resolution that I can detect. I tried this cable on two different Android phones with no issues. Within 3 seconds, both phones went from playing from their internal speakers to piping out the audio into my mixer via the RCA connectors. You can see photos of my connection to my mixer and the apps I was using to listen through my system. Of course you don't need a mixer at all. You could just run this into any RCA input connectors on a receiver or amplifier, tape deck, etc.The cable is well made, seems very durable, includes a velcro strip to wrap it up when you aren't using it.LAST WORD: If you like to record or need to broadcast audio coming from your phone, this USB-C to RCA convertor is a great way to do it. At this price, I highly recommend!

Sound quality seems ok.Plenty of low end, highs average.Audio level output is pretty hot /loud vs a regular headphone output on the same phone but wasn't distorted. There is no way to power up most devices these days that now only have ONE port total on the device.,So when this is connected... that uses up the port. Otherwise, should be ok.

This USB DAC seems solidly built with good strain-relieved connectors, nice RCA plugs, and a USB-C plug. I like the braided cord — it feels robust yet flexible. As far as audio quality, I compared this USB DAC to the DAC built into my Samsung Galaxy phone, which is supposed to be fairly high quality. Using hi-res files from TIDAL streaming (up to 24-bit, 192 kHz sample rate), I couldn’t distinguish any difference between the two. Everything sounded very precise and detailed. The one issue I had, which is a moderate deal for me, is that the line level going to my amp wasn’t very high. I had to turn up the volume on my amp about twice as far on the dial to get the same level of sound compared to using the phone’s headphone jack at max volume, streaming to my Chromecast Audio, or listening to my CD player. It seems this DAC’s output is lower than the typical 1V RMS that amps expect from a line-level source.Because of that, I’m taking off a star. You can decide for yourself how big of a factor this is for your setup. For me, it matters because my amp doesn’t have much static noise up to about 30–40% volume, but once I go past 50%, the static becomes more noticeable since it’s amplifying any input noise.

The Disino USB C to RCA Audio Cable arrived economically packaged in a zip lock style bag and came with an orange velcro tie for storage. The cable is braided but thin and flexible and the audio quality was good, with no discernible noise or other issues.
